Letters from Russetmoor: The Full Year

$156.00

The whole story, start to finish. All 24 letters, paid once.

For one year, twice a month, a cream envelope will find its way to your door from Russetmoor, a hidden school where it is always autumn. Inside is a letter from Eliza Darrow, a first-year who is proud, quick with her tongue, and braver on paper than she feels.

Every first-year must write to a stranger. You are hers. She doesn't know your name and never will, and that's exactly why she tells you the truth: the friends she makes, the rules she breaks, and the closed orchard to the north that nobody will talk about.

By the end of the year you'll have a bundle of letters to tie with string and keep, and a story you lived one envelope at a time.

Some letters are not what they seem

  • One letter you'll be asked not to open. It comes sealed with real wax. She'll tell you when.
  • One letter that arrives looking a hundred years old. She wrote it only days before. Someone got to it first.
  • One letter where she lies to you. The proof is in the same envelope.
  • One sheet of tracing paper that changes the map in your first envelope.

What you get

  • 24 envelopes over one year, around the 1st and 15th of each month
  • 96 pieces of paper and 29 stickers to keep: her letters, the keepsakes she tucks in, the Almanac slips with the Office's seal for every week, the map, and her own five stickers, from her leaf seal to the year's big nights
  • Postage inside the US included
  • Paid once. Never renews.

The best price per letter, and the way the story was meant to be read: all the way to the last page.
